Ravana, our Immortal enemy
On this auspicious day of Dusshera, we celebrate it by burning the effigy of Ravana, quoting it as " the victory of good over evil ", but have we ever thought by just burning the effigy of some ancient demon do really kill him or he is still immortal in all of us. As mentioned in our Scriptures Ravana had ten heads and I think we all have ten heads making him immortal. Some say Ravana was so much intelligent that he have the power of 10 brains in one so our scriptures manifested him as the 10-headed demon. We humans also have 10 heads which are as follows. Kaam (lust), Krodh (wrath), Lobh (greed), Moh (obsession), Mada (vanity), Maatsarya (Envy), Ahankara (Ego), Chitta (will), Manas (Heart), Buddhi (Mind or Intellect). Generally, we became anxious when our one negative head dominates our positive head giving us insecurity, depression, fear, and sleeping problems and it culminates in suicidal thoughts.
